Developing your brand can be a tricky thing if you lack the crucial information. According to a small business advice consultant, one must look at a business idea from four perspectives.
Company – Visualize your idea in terms of the products/services you want to offer, the benefits to customers, the personality of your company, what key messages you want to communicate, and the core promises you’ll make to your customers.
Customer – Think of three different types of customers: (a) the purchasers or those who make the decisions or write the checks, (b) the influences or those who have a say in the purchasing decision, and the (c) end users or people who will directly interact with your product or service
Competitor – Keep in mind three groups (a) primary, (b) secondary, and (c) tertiary. Think how often your business would compete with them and how you’d tailor your messages when competing with them
Collaborators – Who are the organizations and people such as the media who may have an interest in your success but are not directly paid or rewarded
